We’re a 5–7 person boutique fulfillment company looking for someone to take the reins of our warehouse operation — running the day-to-day, building better systems, and growing with us as we scale. You don’t need to come from a warehouse. You need to know how to run things.

About US: Shipfluence is a boutique fulfillment company based in Lorton, Virginia. We’re a small but mighty team of 5–7 people who care deeply about the work we do. We partner with independent artists, influencers, and product-based business owners to manage the fulfillment side of their business to help them scale. We handle everything from warehousing and inventory management to wholesale and retail fulfillment, shipping, and packaging projects as needed. Accuracy, care, and adaptability are at the core of our operations. Our warehouse is in Lorton, about 20–30 minutes from Arlington and closer from Alexandria. The pace is steady most of the year, with a predictable ramp through the holidays (October–January).

If you are detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to grow with our company, we encourage you to apply an open position below. Please email us jobs@shipfluence.com with “Job Applicant - Title” as the subject line. Also provide us with a paragraph that gives us some background on you, why you're interested in the position, and your availability. Please also attach a resume if applicable.

Stationery & Gift Business Fulfillment Manager

Position Overview:

This is part warehouse manager, part operations manager. You’ll oversee a team of 3–5 people, manage the flow of inbound and outbound shipments, and — most importantly — build the systems that let us scale past our current size. Our CEO is still heavily involved in operations today; the goal is for you to run it independently within 2–3 months so she can focus on growing the business. You’ll have a lot of autonomy and a direct hand in shaping how this company works as it grows.

What you’d own:
Daily warehouse operations — scheduling, supervising, opening and closing, keeping the floor organized
Order flow from inbound receipt through picking, packing, kitting, and shipping (typically out within 1–3 business days)
Inventory accuracy, quality control, and resolving discrepancies- Process design — finding what’s slow, fragile, or manual, and fixing it
Onboarding new clients: building out their shelving, bin locations, and picking setup in coordination with our systems and account managers
Hiring, training, reviews, and day-to-day feedback for the warehouse team.
Partnering directly with the CEO on capacity planning, staffing, and continuous improvement

Who might be a great fit:
We care much more about how you think and work than about your job titles. Strong candidates come from all kinds of backgrounds, including:
Warehouse or fulfillment management -- the obvious one.
Kitchen and restaurant management: If you’ve run a back of house during a Saturday night rush, written a prep sheet that survived new hires, you already know this job
Retail or boutique store management with stockroom responsibility: especially anyone who’s owned a holiday reset or Black Friday.
•  Founders or operators of small product brands who did their own fulfillment before outgrowing it. That’s literally our origin story.
•  Stage managers, event production managers: If you’ve run a load-in, you understand this work.
•  Print shops, sign shops, or small production floors — kitting, batch runs, client deadlines, small teams. If you read the responsibilities above and thought “that’s basically what I already do, just with different products,” we want to hear from you.

What we need you to bring:
At least a year of real management experience — you’ve led people, made schedules, and been accountable for outcomes
Strong organizational instincts and genuine attention to detail
Comfort with software. We use Extensiv (our WMS) and Shipstation. If you haven’t used them, be the kind of person who picks up new systems quickly.
A bias toward action and proactive communication. We want someone who closes the loop without being asked.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb a warehouse ladder
An interest in — or willingness to develop one in — stationery, gifts, and the small brands we serve

Pay:
Pay $50-65k, (dependant on experience)
Time-off & bonus policy negotiable
401(k) with a 4% match after one year of full-time employment
No health benefits available
An awesome work environment that values fun, hard work, and an opportunity to contribute significantly to the company’s growth and future

Benefits:
401(k) matching
Paid time off

Experience:
Management: 1 year (Required)

Job Type: Full-time, 8AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday
